Wauw...
I guess i have to thank Mythic Entertainment for their honesty. It's annoucements like this that ensures the success of this game, compared to AoC. Lighten up you guys... it could be alot worse.

I really can´t understand, that the time is too short to flesh out the 4 careers and also this throws a bad light at the game overall, especially since we had the option to preorder the game that early - thinking that it would be completed by then.
Whatever Mythic, you have played out all your cards now, if the OB dissapoints me, I am one of the customers that will not play war - your leaks and the betaleaks on the net are not enough to statisfy me anymore... Also props to Browncoat for knowing and talking about this ahead of time. |

The four classes were not in beta when they was balancing, so take it like they never existed, only in the fragment of your imagination.
Maybe they should of released them with broken feats and skills like AoC did? |

I aint happy but if needed to be done then i would rather it was done before i got to play, hopefully they will bench the hammer and design the slayer instead, whitewolf or reiksguard for tank. We will just have to wait and see

That argument goes both ways. The only good way to handle this problem is not to have this problem basically. |

Yeah its going to hurt people that wanted that stuff but cutting thing close to launch is better than launch thats half finished. As an overall number of people i think that the early adopters (people here) are going to be more frustrated than the Normal mmo person whos just coming over with no info. There has been plenty of wreckage of MMOS that had piss poor launches and died because of them Shadowbane comes to mind. AO was half the game it could have been because of its terrible launch. People are leaving AoC because it has no end game that matters. In an RvR game balance is the #1 most important thing to have pre launch and if you dont have something working right it may suck but cut and then bring it out at a later date when you feel its done.

Hey guys,
It's important to remember a few key facts: A) The game is still in development, it's important that we make the right decisions to have a successful launch. B) We want to make a great game, not a good game. I think we can all agree that playing a career that wasn't up to par with our standards doesn't accomplish that. C) Capital cities require you to capture 2 of the 3 campaigns. We'll have a much more informative explanation of how city capture works but it's now even more challenging and requires the cooperation of the entire realm to march to the gates of your enemies city and conquer their king, which in the end was always our goal. WAR, while now different, is more exciting and engaging then ever before and the cities and careers provide an experience to look forward too |

SWEET LORD!!
Well who didn't wonder why they hadn't shown any details of those capitals but shared almost every inch of the Inevitable City and Altdorf? Seriously though... Wow. Rather have this than a Q1 or Q2 2009 launch though to be honest, but that's only because I'm an Empire player. Still sucks that we won't have our tanks until then. Looks like the Empire vs Chaos Battlefront will be full of players desperate to take part in city sieges

Not sure it can be called "more exciting and engaging". I really don't know how to respond to this news.

This announcement is definitely a blow to everyone who has been waiting for WAR, but I do agree with what some people are saying. It's a matter of choice.
Do you release a product with parts in it that you KNOW are just not up to standards and hope no one realizes, or do you pull them for now hopefully adding in something else in something to replace them (yes wishful thinking i know) and have a better quality end product that you can be proud of.
