Client doesn't remember EULA and COC views.

Is it just me, or is the client not remembering that I already clicked <agree> on both the EULA and the COC?
It's getting pretty annoying now, having to scroll down, select the checkbox, and press agree, all twice, everytime you start the game (or restart after a C2D)

I don't see any threads about it, so was just wondering.

Mythics thing is to make you check agree everytime you start the game till you finally unsubscribe.

It's annoying, I think it's not intended, but just happened. A fix would be nice if that's the case.

Yea, I get that too - I'm pretty sure its intended.. but annoying as hell.

That, and my chat box never remembers where I put it, I have to drag it down to the bottom of my screen and re-lock it every time I log in.

Jesus christ, you're telling me I have to do that every single time I log on? It wouldn't make sense for them to hassle their customers like that.

The least they could do is end the 'must scroll to the end' requirement, and make the checkbox checked by default.

Isn't that fact that the checkbox says that you've read the text enough without having to scroll down to? Surely there must be a better way of doing it, it's really getting on my nerves. Why should they inconvenience so many people so many times on the off chance they need it?

I agree, it's really annoying. Other games made you do it every once in a while after a patch or something.

But this is ridiculous. You gotta do it once before entering the game, THEN do it TWO more times? lol!

I always figured it was because we were in Beta, I really hope this isn't intended, it's annoying as hell. Especially on the check screen when you can't scroll down because it freezes for a second while the game logs in.

I think you're right. I believe this is how they did it with DAoC.

Accepting the EULA and COC

This is intentional for legal reasons. Each time you play WAR, you're actively using a service and must therefore agree to the terms of that service. Adhering to the EULA and COC is not a once-off flare; it is a continuous commitment. So why not make the procedure of accepting these terms more user-friendly, such as having the 'agree' box checked by default? One answer to this is that the less effort required to agree to something, the less is its juridical weight.

Whereas being annoyed about this feature is understandable, it may be useful to put things into perspective. It takes me some two seconds to scroll down, check the box and press the button. Repeating this for both the EULA and COC is a five second procedure. Repeating this a couple of times a day and even crashing a few times still only adds up to half a minute of your day. A small price for hours and hours of glorious WAR I'd say.
