Hey btw, can anybody show me to some great sites for high-res desktop wallpapers? Sci-fi, game, anime etc. something than can still look incredible even on like.. 1680x1040 and up.
Thanks in advance. It's really hard finding good sites for that. Deviantart has low res stuff.

That Latoyce thing didn't work for me. I downloaded the first file you gave, and I got the update (for the resolution) for it. I got it all from the deviantart thing. I did the whole install thing, replaced file, and then turned it on... it made my taskbar look like a classic Windows taskbar but all white.

heh.. no and no. i have no idea what i am doing...

oh i got a question though... i shoulda asked before. does that download change the menus and windows too, or does it change the taskbar only?

VistaGlazz is outlined in one of my previous posts.

Most Visual Styles change everything.

For those of you looking to duplicate this design I found the icon set he is using and a similar RocketDock skin. I'm still searching for a comparable/viable Visual Style.

Windowblinds Theme: http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.as...d=5969&libid=1

NOTE: I modified both the icons and Rocketdock theme personally so that they would both fit together nicely. Using them at default, the dock bar was just too wide and the icons were too small. It's not that hard to modify them, you just need photoshop so you can edit the .psd files.

All credit goes to the guys who made these add-ons. I only modify them to my personal needs. =]

isn't VistaGlazz for XP? It says it does not support Vista SP1.

also, you are saying that it will change the look of everything? i hope so, because I mainly just want the background of folders, menus, and selection list color and style changed... i don't really use my taskbar. i might use it if i get this to work.

VistaGlazz is Vista and while it they say it doesn't support SP1, I'm getting it to work just fine.

Is there anything like it for XP aside from Windowblinds? That program sucks, costs money, and sucks up system resources...I would torrent it but I'm at school so I get stuck with 60-day trials.

All I really need is a skin for my taskbar.

I can't really be of much assistance, never really did much skinning with XP when I had it.

I'm working on a new design that is inspired by a few of the linked desktops in this thread. I'll finish it up tomorrow afternoon and link it... with the resources.

Well... I re-did the thing and it still looked so classic Windows so I installed that VisaGlazz. Started the first part, which was an update that took less then 1 sec to do, then it said to reboot.. so I clicked it's reboot button. I sat there for like 10 mins staring at a black screen. Then I manually turned it off and then turned it back on... when I logged it, it showed the classic Windows style still and I decided to give up, so I went to Personalize and clicked Theme... got an error saying it wouldn't come up because of some r-something wasn't working right. So, I figured it messed up because I turned it off turning the black screen, maybe the black screen was it updating... which it was suppose to do when I was signed in. So, I tried the update-reboot thing again and the same exact thing happened again. I decided I would try the second step in VistaGlazz, then it gave me a warning that VistaGlazz or something wasn't up to date. I thought I broke it, but someone just restored my Windows and now I am back to the way I was and I can set my themes again, which is goo.

So, I have no idea what I am doing wrong... I think I might give up. It is a lot of trouble for me, I am a noob at this customizing thing... so when it does stuff like what just happened I get worried I downloaded a virus or I broke it myself heh.
